Love as a Meadow, Love as a Mirror

Welcome to Sacred Musings, a space where I share reflections from the heart on love, life, caregiving, and the lessons that shape us into who we are. My hope is that these words bring comfort, perspective, and inspiration to anyone walking their own path of healing and growth.

The husband must embody a little of everything before I can let down my guard and share my resources. My bosom is a meadow of flowers, waiting for the best man to tend it with care and patience. I think often of how Dr. Gabor Maté explains that love and marriage inevitably awaken our oldest wounds. These bonds don’t create the pain, they expose it. The closeness, the vulnerability, the hope of being truly seen, all of it stirs the parts of us that were once neglected or hurt. In that sense, relationships become both a gift and a mirror.

It’s not weakness to feel triggered by love. It’s the body remembering, the heart revisiting its unfinished business. Healing comes when we face those moments instead of fleeing from them. Get ready, because love is not only a meadow, it’s also the soil where past and present meet, and where growth can finally take root. And perhaps the real question is this: What if couples asked each other, as part of their vetting process, whether being paternal or maternal as needed was a deal breaker? 🤸🏽 Sacred Musings: Where love, trauma, and truth meet in conversation with the soul.

Sacred Musings is my space to reflect on life, love, and the spiritual lessons that come with being human. Thank you for walking this path with me.
